“From zero to hero!” This is what Francesca, the owner of South Bay Polo, told me at my first Polo Academy practice. It was hard to believe as I’d never played the sport before. Sure enough, at the end of a six week academy, I was galloping down the field with my team playing real chukkers!
Fran runs a great program for beginners and supports you all the way up the levels with tons of fun opportunities to learn the game and improve your horsemanship. Her string of lesson polo ponies are safe and well looked after. Playing polo was truly some of the most fun I’ve ever had!
